List of Public Holidays in Singapore 2018

Last April 5, 2017, the Ministry of Affairs released an advisory regarding the public holidays for 2018. It appears that there will be several long weekends, four to be exact, with these dates  falling on either a Monday or a Friday. These public holidays are as follows:

  • New Year’s Day (Jan 1)
  • First day of Chinese New Year (Feb 16)
  • Good Friday (Mar 30)
  • Hari Raya Puasa (Jun 15)

The 11 official Singaporean public holidays in 2018

The Ministry of Affairs also posted the list of the 11 official public holidays in 2018 which is as follows:

  1. January 1- New Year’s Day
  2. February 16 – Chinese New Year
  3. February 17– Chinese New Year
  4. March 30- Good Friday
  5. May 1 – Labour Day
  6. May 29- Vasak Day
  7. June15- Hari Raya Puasa
  8. August 9 – National Day
  9. August 22 – Hari Raya Haji
  10. November 6 – Deepavali
  11. December 25 – Christmas Day

Now citizens and tourists have a lot to look forward to when it comes to planning their getaways and vacation to make the most of what Singapore has to offer.
