In future, SingPost is gearing to introduce other applications which include mobile notification of delivery status as well as notification for post office collection due to missed deliveries, which are expected to be rolled out sometime in 2020 for the project’s second phase.

Moreover, SingPost has revealed a one-of-a-kind integrated last mile platform (or LaMP), which connects retailers and logistics service providers to facilitate open eCommerce ecosystems which provide businesses complete control and flexibility with their parcel deliveries.

As of this time, discussions to forge partnerships with a number of retail businesses and logistics service providers are at the final stage, noted SingPost.

Founded under SingPost’s digital strategy programme, the innovations being introduced by the company will serve as key components to bridge communities into the future market of e-Commerce.

The event launching SmartPost as well as LaMP coincide a month-long celebration of SingPost’s 160th anniversary in service. The celebrations will conclude on November 12 for a Singapore Book of Records’ record-breaking feat for having the most number of ‘cooks’ and elderly clients creating a giant popiah, wherein President Halimah Yacob will take part of.
