Fright nights have never been as much celebrated as they have been during Halloween. Why not? It’s the only time of the year when horrific fashion statements aren’t taken so seriously and adults get to play for treats. We take you to 7 of the most happening places in Singapore this Halloween:
7 Spots in Singapore for a Hell of a Good Time on Halloween 2017
In this post we share our list of only the most exciting happenings in Singapore this Halloween season. We promise – you’ll be in for a treat.
- Monster Bash
If you’re bringing the kids along and you are up for some good ‘ole carnival fun, then head over to Camp Kilo Charcoal Club on the 29th of October. Come in your creepiest attire and join in the fun-filled carnival games such as Tombstone Toss, Bobbing for Apples and Guess the Number of Candy. Aside from the fun and games, you also have a chance to bag home $500 for being the best dressed guest of the night. The party starts at 5 pm until midnight and entrance is free.
- Horror Haunt: School of Horrors
A post shared by Cathay Lifestyle (@cathaylifestyle) on
There’s always something creepy about empty hallways after school hours. What with the many school horror stories you’ve heard at least once, it sure makes a great Halloween experience to go back to that time with friends and your best buddies. Fans of mystery and horror can play as detectives in a hair-raising mystery event held at the External Atrium of the Cathay (Oct 19-22, 6-10 pm) and at the B1, Cathay Cineleisure Orchard (Oct. 26-29, 6-10 pm). Entrance fee is $10. Unravel the truth behind the death of a young school girl whose spirit can be heard crying and is haunting students at the school corridors. Be part of the first 75 people to get the answer right per day and you win a Cathay Cineplex movie pass.
- Hell Gates Halloween
Those who wander late in the night will find the Hell Gates Halloween at Clark Quay on the 28th of October from 10 pm onwards. Dance the night away ‘til the early morn to DJ XR’s heart-pumping beats at the Ultra Lounge. If partying with ghouls and goblins are your thing, then you’re up for a sexy treat this Halloween at Clarke Quay. Entrance is $30, inclusive of one drink.
- Sub-lime Halloween Feast
This Halloween, everyone is invited to a ghastly gourmet banquet at the Luxe by Park Royal. Surely, a bite or two won’t hurt anybody but voracious feeders are in for an exquisite treat with some of the most shocking dishes (if only by name) such as Freddy’s Nightmare Pasta, Witches’ Pot of Laksa, Death by Berries, and Eyeball Panna Cotta. The place also houses the Lime Ghost Ship which serves a variety of top class crustacean dishes such as Canadian oysters and snow crabs. Explore all the dark and cold corners of the restaurant including the private dining area to find spooky surprises and more hellish gourmet treats. Prices are at SGD 80 for adults (inclusive of cold drinks such as juices and cola as well as hot coffee and tea), and SGD 40 for children (ages 6 to 12 years old). Banquet doors open on the 28th and 29th of October from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
- Creepin’ It Real
Sentosa Cove Wet Deck will once again be the venue of a spine-chilling pool party on the 28th of October this coming Halloween. Come in your creepiest garb and dance the night to performances by ATTAGIRL! Instead of a haunted house, a haunted bus will take center piece this time around. If you’re in for a thrilling experience, hop on board for an out-of-this-world ride that you’ll never forget. If you make it out in one piece, you might have a chance to snag some cool prizes like free dining and drink coupons, or even a one night stay in the Wonderful Room at W Singapore.
- Cé la Vi Halloween X Cirque Le Soir
Feast your eyes on the beautiful and bizarre performances of the Cirque Le Soir at the Club Lounge on the night of October 28th. Death-defying acts of sword swallowers, colourful repertoires of strange clowns, grotesque contortionists and an exotic dance troupe will capture the night away all backed by the entrancing and powerful music of resident DJs of CÉ LA VI. The reverie starts at 10 pm until late. Tickets are pre-sold at $48 online, which includes one premium drink. At-the-door tickets are priced at $68, inclusive of a premium drink. Come in your most fabulous and eccentric get-up, and get a chance to take home a bottle of Magnum R de Ruinart Brut Champagne.
- Halloween Horror Nights 7
Book a spooktacular night of hair-raising experience at the Universal Studios Singapore in this year’s “Seven Deadly Sins” horror repertoire which includes five blood-curdling horror house attractions, back-to-back out of-this-world scream shows, two horrifying scare zones, and a fight-to-the-death laser tag game with zombies! Select weekend shows can be booked until the 29th of October. Show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $68.
There’s plenty of reasons to go out with family or friends for some late night fun even on the (supposedly) creepiest time of the year, especially when you’re in Singapore. Happy haunting and we’ll see you on the other side!
