Advisory: Strong Reminder for Filipinos to Avoid Large Gatherings

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore strongly reminds Filipinos to avoid large gatherings as well as crowded place in the country. This is in light of reports of a large gathering was held amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The embassy warns its Pinoy citizens that Singapore is ion DORSCON alert leve “Orange” which states that large gatherings should be avoided, whatever the occasion.

In the same advisory, Filipino domestic workers are also reminded to follow the advice of the government to coordinate their rest days with their employers to protect the households from the COVID-19 infection.

Embassy Advisory

In view of reports that large Filipino gatherings continue to be held in Singapore, the Philippine Embassy strongly reiterates its reminder to the Filipino community in Singapore to avoid such large gatherings as well as other crowded places in support of Singapore government’s eforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Filipino domestic workers are also strongly reminded to follow the advice of the Singapore government to arrange or coordinate properly their rest days with their employers toensure that concrete steps are taken to protect their households from COVID-19 infection.

The Philippine Embassy wishes to remind the Filipino community that Singapore is DORSCON alert level “Orange” which means that large gatherings — be they social, business or religious– and crowded places are to be avoided in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our community.
