Embassy Advisory: On the Indefinite Suspension of Public Masses in Singapore
The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the Filipino community in Singapore that beginning today, 15 February 2020, all public masses in Singapore, including large gatherings such as retreats and seminars, have been indefinitely suspended.
The suspension was announced by the Most Reverend Willian Goh, Archbishop of Singapore, in his pastoral letter on COVID-19 dated 14 February 2020, (https://www.catholic.sg/suspension-of-masses/), which called upon the Catholic faithful to be “responsible in playing their part to contain the spread of the virus by avoiding large-scale gatherings of people.”
All Catholics in Singapore, Filipinos included, are advised to try to follow the broadcast of the Mass on YouTube or CatholicSG Radio. Please check the archdiocesan website https://catholic.sg for the time of the online broadcast.
Thank you.
