Changi Airport Transforms into Beloved Spots in Harry Potter’s Wizarding World

Since its last feature in the blockbuster movie, “Crazy Rich Asians,” travellers have developed a curiosity of what Singapore is like in real-life. This time around, and just in time for the holidays, Changi Airport will bring the magical world of Harry Potter alive in three of its four terminals to give fans and travellers a merry holiday treat which will be remembered by the whole family.

The island’s premier airport has collaborated with Warner Bros. to set up some of the most well-loved location spots based on J.K Rowling’s mega successful titles based on events from the Wizarding World universe. The event will run from November 16, 2018 up until mid-Feb of 2019.

Visit Changi Airport for a Magical Holiday with Harry Potter-themed Pop-Ups

Life-sized installations based on some of the most memorable locations from the Harry Potter series which include Hogsmeade Village, Diagon Alley, and the Whomping Willow, will come to life at the airport’s terminals. Other than the photo ops, there’s also plenty of merchandises in store for Wizarding fans of the series, as well as a couple of new surprises from the recently-released film: Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Terminal 1 will feature a Fantastic Beasts” – themed location, which opens just in time with the second prequel film, “The Crimes of Grindelwald.”

In other spots of the airport, there are plenty of Harry Potter sights to see, as well. Guests can snap a pic in front of Ron Weasley’s Flying Ford Anglia from “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” or pose next to the portraits of famous wizards in the Halls of Hogwarts or sit on top of a broom in front of a Quidditch shop.

The Wizarding World exhibit at Changi will be open from 10 am to 10 pm local time until mid-February of next year, with various snow and light shows featured on a daily basis.
