Asia’s most famous shopping street, Orchard Road, will be transformed into a ‘Christmas Village’ for the 9th edition of Christmas on a Great Street and will carry this year’s theme, ‘Endless Wonder’ starting Nov 11 until Jan. 1, 2018.
The Christmas Village, which can be visited at the Civic Plaza in Ngee Ann City from Nov. 25 until Christmas Day, will showcase a two-storey musical carousel, along with boutique stores of over 25 famous brands such as Starbucks, PAUL, Toast Box, and Royal Selangor.

Aside from the Christmas Village, other attractions include the installation of a 5-m Enchanted Tree just outside Wisma Atria, as well as the 12-m tall main arch located between Tang Plaza and the Ion Orchard.
Additionally, the annual light-up of the famous shopping street will start earlier this year at 3 pm instead of the usual 6:30 pm in the past years and will remain on until midnight every day, 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 6 am the following day of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
According to the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA), this year’s Christmas on a Great Street is expected to draw in around 3.6 million visitors for the said events and will help boost the retail businesses in the famous shopping and commercial district.
