Notarial Services

Notarial services are only provided for the preparation of legal documents. They do not include the draft of powers of attorney, deeds or documents of similar nature.

  • Certificate of One and the Same Person: The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority requires this document for Filipino nationals with name inconsistencies.
  • Authentication of Documents Issued in the Philippines: The Embassy of the Philippines doesn’t authenticate or Apostille documents issued in the country. These documents can only be authenticated by the Department of Foreign affairs.
  • NBI Card Fingerprinting: NBI card form and fingerprints will be submitted by the applicant in the presence of a consular officer of the embassy. Processing time is typically three (3) working days after receipt of all documents and payment.

Passport

All passport applications must be made at the Philippine Embassy. Aside from their photograph, they also need to provide their fingerprints and signature.

The Philippine government issues passports to its citizens to allow them to travel freely. This law was passed to defend the citizens’ rights.

The state is also responsible for ensuring the integrity and legitimacy of all travel-related documentation and procedures.

Visas

Work visa applications are usually handled by the employer. All documents necessary to secure a visa are required before the visa can be issued. Applications with incomplete visa requirements will not be accepted. These will be approved after five working days. Furthermore, this service allows foreign residents to:

The applicant’s authorized agent must produce the following documentation to LTO:

  • Original driver’s licence and receipt (plus one photocopy of each);
  • photocopy of Philippine passport (first page, visa page, and pages showing departure from the Philippines and last arrival overseas); and
  • The licensee submits a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) to the LTO, requesting renewal and appointing a representative to renew the licence on his or her behalf. The Philippine Embassy must authenticate the SPA.

  • Custodial Service: POLO coordinates with the various agencies and organizations that serve the welfare and needs of the migrant workers and other Filipinos.
