Here’s Where you can Catch the 53rd National Day Fireworks for Free in Singapore

Here is the schedule and timing for the fireworks display on National Day:

  • 7:38 pm – Fireworks on Floating Platform only
  • 7:49 pm
  • 8:00 pm
  • 8:16 pm – Grand Finale

1.      Helix Bridge and Benjamin Sheares Bridge

These are conveniently located next to the Floating Platform, so you can expect to find a throng of spectators flock the area since you don’t have to pay a single cent for a share of the fabulous view from here. Just make sure to get there early in order to secure a comfortable spot for you and your family or friends.

2.      The Lawn @ Marina Bay Financial Centre

While the area is not as popular as the two bridges, it still has arguably one of the best views for the National Day fireworks display as it is located on the other side of Marina Bay. Also, if you’d like to steer clear of large crowds, and enjoy more space while enjoying the light show on National Day, the Lawn is the place to go.

3.      Merlion Park

Even if there’s no event to witness, the Merlion Park is considered to be one of the most frequented places in the city for casual strolls and recreational activities when in Singapore. So, on National Day, expect to be joined by a lot of tourists and city-goers if you’re planning to watch the fireworks from Merlion Park. Just be sure to get there early and secure a nice spot on the steps for a picture-perfect view of the event.

4.      Esplanade Roof Terrace

As the place is known to offer a remarkable view of Singapore’s skyline, you won’t miss the bright spectacle that is expected to fill the night sky on National Day. Plus, you won’t have to stress out on looking for a nice spot to take that perfect Instagram shot as there’s plenty of room to share.

5.      Marina Barrage

If you’ve been here in one of your days-off, you would know that Marina Barrage is one of the go-to public spaces when it comes to sunset picnics and hanging out in general, especially at the rooftop garden which offers a delightful view of Singapore’s skyline. This earns a spot in our go-to places to catch the National Day Fireworks display for free.

6.      Faber Peak

If you’re extremely not cool with huge crowds, but can compromise with a rather distant view of light show on National Day, then you should consider watching the show from Faber Peak. The place, while relatively far from the location of the event, offers an excellent vantage point to enjoy the National Day fireworks display.
