There’s much buzz and excitement with the expected opening of Singapore’s latest modern facility in aviation and transportation services in Jewel Changi this April.
Other than world-class retail outlets soon to open at the famed airport, there will also be familiar faces greeting visitors outside of their home country, Japan, for the first time – much to the delight of fans, and the young at heart.
First Pokémon Center Outside Japan to Open in Jewel Changi this April
In a report by Channel News Asia, Pokémon fans will have one good reason to visit Singapore soon, as the very first Pokémon Centre outside Japan will be opening at the Jewel Changi Airport set to open next month.
And while that’s great news in itself, reports also noted that the Pokémon Company will be running the Pokémon Centre in Singapore through a wholly-owned Southeast Asian subsidiary.
Other than a flurry of cute and lovable Pokémon characters set to populate the retail outlet in one of the world’s most modern airports, the Jewel Changi, guests will also be able to admire the world’s tallest indoor waterfall alongside numerous dining places, and entertainment options, which the whole family will certainly enjoy.
But what makes the opening of the Pokémon Centre in Jewel Changi one for the books, is that it will be the very first permanent store outside Japan, where there are already 11 physical stores set up, with the 12th outlet set to open in Kyoto this March 16.
And as most of us would expect, a Pokémon Centre would be a one-stop shop for everything related to Pokémon. Think stuffed toys of almost every Pokémon species you can imagine, stationery, accessories and apparel, as well as other cool gift items.
Also, the Singapore outlet will offer an exclusive edition of Pikachu plushies, clad in cabin crew uniforms.
So just to set expectations, prepare to splurge on everything you love about Pokemon, as you explore Singapore through Jewel Changi’s finest offerings.
