Applying for a UAE Visit Visa in Singapore

Passport-holders of certain countries are granted a 30-day visa free arrangement once they enter the country via Dubai International Airport and head over to the Immigration Office where their passports will be stamped accordingly.

These countries include: Australia, Andorra, Hong Kong, Brunei, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Mauritius, Malaysia, Monaco, the People’s Republic of China, New Zealand, San Marino, Russian Federation, Singapore, Ukraine, the UK, USA, and Vatican City.

However, if you wish to proceed with the online application via the VFS service in partnership with Emirates Airlines, please refer to the list of countries eligible to apply for visa online.

Requirements:

As the visa application will be done online, make sure to follow all the set specifications for the documents required below:

  • A digital copy of your original and valid passport. The passport should be valid within the next six (6) months from your travel in the UAE.
    • Important: Please make sure that you have copies of the bio data page and the last page of your passport where some important information may be found.
  • A digital colour passport size photograph (preferably not scanned from your passport)
  • For applicants whose current nationality and permanent place of residence are not the same, they will be required to include a residency visa in their passport.
  • Applicants who belong to high-risk countries will need to provide any of the following documents as part of the mandatory requirements:
    • Travel documents or visa grants to any of the following places during the last five (5) years:
      • Schengen Countries
      • Canada
      • Australia
      • the United Kingdom
      • the USA, and
      • the UAE
    • Documents such your financial statements indicating that you have at least USD 8,000 worth of investments, or your income tax documents to prove that you earn USD 8,000 or higher.
    • Note: In addition to the above requirements for applicants from high-risk countries, the observation page or the Child Endorsed page in the passport need to be provided as well, where applicable, on the Non-Mandatory Documents field.

Procedures:

  1. Go to emirates.com to open an account.
  2. Set a booking schedule for your online visa application.
  3. Click the “Manage an Existing Booking” link. And click the link to “Apply for a UAE Visa”. A new page will open directing you to the VFS website.
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions carefully and click ‘Agree’ to begin with your application.
  5. Fill out the application form and submit all the documents required via the VFS website.

Important: You need to provide a working e-mail address through which all the instructions, updates, and forms relevant to your visa application will be sent.

  1. After you’re done filling out the application form, begin uploading all the necessary documents for your application.
  2. Pay the visa processing fee indicated on the website with your Visa or MasterCard account. A confirmation receipt will be sent to your e-mail once the transaction has been processed.
  3. To track your application, keep note of the Emirates Booking Reference Code and your Visa Application Number.
